They are now seeking a talented Development & Production Chef who excels within Chinese and SE Asian cuisine.

Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is essential.

The Role

This is a pacey and high-profile role where you will be leading the product development for the Chinese cuisine category of the business. You’ll be responsible for understanding and delivering on the culinary needs of your customer accounts, both from a menu development and commercial perspective.

With your knowledge of regional nuances and ingredients, you will be able to elevate dishes and really impress your customers. With the help your team, you will prepare customer presentations, leading both internal and external menu and product presentations to ensure concepts are well received and surpass expectations.

This is a varied and cross-functional role where you will work with the operations, procurement and commercial teams to ensure that your products can be scaled up and transition smoothly into full scale production.

The Candidate

Suit an innovative development chef with professional culinary qualifications and a strong competency in regional Chinese cuisines. You must have worked at high end restaurants honing your skills, experience of large-scale food production, either from food manufacturing or catering would be a real bonus. 

With this being a customer facing role, you must have the confidence to develop and manage relationships with stakeholders at every level. You will love leading presentations and be a natural at engaging your customers, getting their buy-in with your knowledge and passion for your products. Due to the customer base, fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is essential.
