An exciting opportunity within the NPD Department for a Quality Technologist. This role involves providing Quality Contract writing and approval services, with a focus on bakery and dessert products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead QC Technicians to efficiently gather trial data, manage QC filing systems and trackers.
• Consistently create and issue detailed, accurate QCs that meet required standards.
• Utilise knowledge of quality, bakery, and manufacturing to provide product quality information as needed.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to promote collaborative working.
• Confidently facilitate QC approval with cross-functional teams.
• Attend internal and customer meetings professionally.
• Manage workload flexibly and efficiently to meet critical deadlines.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience with major UK retailers and a customer-focused mindset.
• Knowledge of Customer Stage Gate Processes and Critical Path Timelines.
• Understanding of Organoleptic Assessment, Customer Quality Expectations, Key Quality Attributes, and Quality Control Points.
• Degree in Food Science & Technology (or related) OR 2 years' food industry experience in NPD, technical, or production functions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work to high standards under pressure.
• Excellent planning and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Proficient in data analysis, MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Proactive, hands-on, and eager to make an impact.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
• Friday: 08:30 - 16:00
• Flexibility may be required depending on business needs.
