The Company

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with major projects for this innovative business who supply high quality products to prestigious UK retailers. A front runner in their sector, they are now seeking a Senior Development Chef to join their growing team.

The Role

In this fast-paced and creative role you will be given the chance to apply your culinary skills supporting the Development team in the creation of exciting new product ranges. Managing their largest retail account, you will be able to focus entirely on creating inspiring new concepts that capitalise on your expertise and market knowledge to ensure innovative products are in line with the latest food trends as well as customer budgets and launch timescales.

You will also help with the day to day running of the NPD function from working with suppliers, organising ingredients and improving recipes to making samples for presentations and participating in taste panels. In addition, you’ll be using your commercial acumen and culinary insights to spot new trends and identify key areas for potential innovation and growth.

Part of your responsibilities will also include leading feasibility and critical path meeting for your key account to ensure all stakeholders have visibility on all active projects and products being presented to your customer.

The Person

We are looking for a highly creative and organised Senior development chef who is passionate about their food. You will live and breathe food, coupled with previous experience within the culinary field i.e Culinary arts degree, diploma or related. You will have an extensive personal knowledge of ingredients and flavour combinations, able to bring new twists to recipes and a vast back-catalogue of interesting ingredient sources.

Adaptable and flexible you’ll be able to keep up the pace with projects as they evolve, accepting product tweaks and changes with enthusiasm and gusto. You will have food manufacturing experience and have developed successful products for major multiples.

Your organisation and presentation skills will be second to none which you’ll put to use working as part of a large innovation team.
