Head of Operations/Factory Manager for food business

James Mackle UK Limited, based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, is involved in processing apples. The company has been operating for over 50 years and has been at the forefront of most innovations within the industry with a constantly evolving product range

Operating in the B2B sector the company currently supplies product to some of the largest and most respected names in the food industry throughout the UK and Ireland with the factory running to tight deadlines and exacting specifications.

The Role

To take responsibility for managing all aspects of the Factory,including engineering and manufacturing, which operates with a single shift.

Constant involvement in improving efficiencies of plant and equipment

Ensure that the site complies with all regulatory, BRC and other standards

Ensure products are manufactured to the highest standards and comply with customer specifications

Take responsibility for motivating and encouraging staff

Contribute to all major business decisions

Reporting directly to the Managing Director

The Person

Will have had experience in various roles within the food industry and be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills

Capable of maintaining tight control of costs

Sound knowledge of HACCP, BRC and other standards

Excellent People Management skills

Will have a lot of energy and enjoy the total involvement in all areas of the business

Salary will be competitive and is negotiable according to experience
