Market leaders within their categories, this multi-site food business work closely with the retailers, creating fabulous food for their discerning customers. They are now looking for a talented and super foodie Senior Development Chef to come in and cook up a storm!

The Role

In this exciting and rewarding role you’ll develop inspirational new concepts for major retail customers. You’ll also be refreshing existing ranges to keep up with the latest food and ingredient trends, monitoring competitor products and performance to ensure your ranges are the best in the market.

Working at pace, whilst nurturing a small team of Development Chefs, you will take responsibility for the management of key projects that will lead to continued commercial success. This will be by liaising with internal teams to fully map out and understand the critical path, and how to reach key milestones. You’ll consider new ingredients and production capabilities by using your culinary prowess to trouble shoot any potential manufacturing issues.

A key part of this role will be managing key customer expectations. You’ll build rapport with leading retailers, presenting new concepts and collaborating at every step to ensure project alignment and ultimate success is achieved.

The Person

We are looking for a talented Development Chef who has gained invaluable NPD experience in a chilled food manufacturing environment. A passionate creative, who has spent time building up their culinary expertise in high-end restaurant environments, before entering the world of food manufacturing.

You’ll have the desire to create innovative products that will delight customers up and down the country. You’ll know how to mentor and nurture a team of development chefs, ensuring they reach their potential. You will also have experience of working with the major retailers and understand how best to work with their developers, ensuring great relationships are forged.
