Protea Recruitment is working with a well-known Food Manufacturer near London who is looking for someone within field sales to join their team.

The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Field Sales Representative to drive sales and revenue growth in their assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with wholesale partners, distributors, and other key stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of the
food industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share in the assigned territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and cold calling on potential customers, including specialty food retailers, and food-service establishments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies, including product displays, demos, and advertising campaigns, to drive brand awareness and increase sales.
- Provide product training and education to customers and their staff to ensure proper handling, storage, and merchandising of our products.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets, and provide feedback to management on sales performance, market trends, and customer needs.
- Represent the company at industry events, and customer meetings to promote our products and services effectively.
Experience Required
- Two years experience working in Sales
- Relevant degree or qualification
- Driving licence (as the job will be heavily on the road and commuting between stores and site)
- Experience within a wholesale environment
