Technical Assistant - Hampshire - 25k

Role Purpose:

Working as a Technical Assistant, you will ensure that all production standards are maintained to our exacting standards; maintain the laboratory samples and organise the archiving of all production records; ensure all recording equipment is calibrated and used effectively whilst providing full support to the Production team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all the Company’s Health & Safety rules and guidelines at all times.
• Laboratory samples collection, testing and results management
• Provide and maintain final product packaging specification
• Complete internal and external KPI reports in a timely manner to a high standard.
• Log customer complaints and assist with investigations, liaising with customers within agreed timeframes.
• Supplier complaints management
• Perform customer taste panels and library samples management including EOL (end of shelf life)
• Carry out internal audits when required
• Assist with traceability exercises
• Check artwork when required
• Daily temperature checks
• Minute taking and general administration when required
• Monitor status stock compliance where necessary and feed back to operational teams to drive improvements.
• QMS documents filling and document change control management
• Assist QAT’s when required in daily tasks as necessary. Covering absence and holiday if required.

Skills and qualifications needed:

• Good organisational and effective influencing skills
• Efficient work style within a fast-paced pressurised environment
• Competent in English Language with an ability to demonstrate both verbal and written communication skills
• Competent numeracy, literacy and PC / systems skills
• Self-motivated with an enthusiastic approach
• Flexible attitude to work and ability to adapt to changing demands and requirements
• HACCP Level 2 and Food safety Level 2 desirable.
• Experience of food industry management systems, EQMS, Hamilton Grant and SAP
