I’m not going to sugar-coat this and make it seem something that it isn’t.

This isn’t a role for everyone and may not appeal to the masses, but for those who enjoy the old-school, hands-on, thrill of being in the thick of it on the shop floor, rolling your sleeves up with your team then it’s definitely for you.

You’ll report to the Operations Manager who is someone I have known and trusted for a long time, they are a down to earth, people person, kind, compassionate, wont shout or embarrass people on the shop floor and will deal with things in a calm and mature manner. They have recently joined and have said to me, it has been one of the most enjoyable first couple of months in their career.

They will put you first, you will be their priority. They will look to you as someone who will develop the team, upskill, lead by example, introduce SOPs and bring structure to disciplinaries, investigations, RTW etc.  

You need to be aware that this isn’t a business looking for a Production Shift Manager to change the world. They are looking for someone who can embrace the unorthodox procedures, support the development of a team and help grow the business.
