Role: Senior Quality Manager
Location: West Midlands
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the food and drink industry, is actively seeking a Senior Quality Manager to join their team. Due to recent structural changes within the business, this role has been created to bridge the gap between the Quality and Technical teams, reporting directly to the Technical Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage the Quality team, ensuring all Quality Managers are effectively overseen on a day-to-day basis.
-Align the Quality team with the technical function, ensuring seamless collaboration between departments.
-Deputise for the Technical Manager in their absence, ensuring the continuation of high-quality standards and processes.
-Assist in external audits, including customer visits and BRC inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
-Serve as a key link between New Product Development (NPD), Production, and the Technical team, ensuring quality is integrated into every stage of production.
Essential Skills & Experience:
-Proven experience in a Senior Quality role within the food industry, ideally with chilled products.
-Strong understanding of HACCP and Food Safety standards.
-Extensive experience working with large-scale retailers.
-In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with BRC (British Retail Consortium) standards.
-Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Salary: £40,000-£45,000
