As a UK Demand Planning Manager you'll create and manage the demand forecasts 0-24 months, owning and improving DP processes of base line forecast generation, history cleansing, enrichment and history checks. You'll play a key role in the BU's IBP process, leading the DMR volume review and ensuring we have one aligned volume number running through our systems and business.
You'll be a leader and collaborator - able to reach across functional boundaries - to constantly analyse, educate, build consensus and drive action to continually improve the forecast.
Responsibilities:
- Strive for best-in-class forecast accuracy at all levels and horizons of the forecast.
- Lead the DMR agenda for a category of products, ensuring "one-number" alignment for the full 24 month horizon.
- Create and modify the long term forecast by required level of granularity meeting IBP and financial objectives.
- Modify and analyse statistical forecast, understanding and verification of advanced statistical modelling changes to the baseline.
- Own the baseline creation and collaborate with sales, finance and customer collaboration to ensure alignment to the forecast.
- Seek Customer Service and Commercial interactions for forecast enrichment process (Promotions and NPDs).
- Partner with customer collaboration to improve FA via effective weekly demand reviews and category forecast analysis.
- Analyse the relationship between promotional volumes, new products introductions and the seasonal impact on product demand.
- Review all promo activities and their effectiveness related to volumes & timing accuracy and provide recommendation for future promotional volumes.
- Support demand & supply control processes, including DDS & S&OE to drive continual improvement of forecast accuracy at all levels.
- Ensure the weekly publish and transferred forecast is aligned with latest inputs and commercial changes (TPM).
- Review forecasting trends for different lags to ensure S&OE robustness; maximizing service and minimizing obsoletes.
- Validate Prolink Master Data and minimize errors.
- Analysing & improving forecast accuracy, Bias and FVA.
- Interact with BU Sales, Finance and Category Supply to perform portfolio optimization.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of proven experience in FMCG supply chain planning, including demand planning experience.
- Experience in forecasting systems, JDA/Prolink is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with contact up to Director level.
- Ability to influence and challenge internal customers and communicate effectively with them during service issues.
- Collaborative experience in forecasting processes across different functions.
- Supply Chain knowledge and experience with the ability to understand impact of any issues or change across the network and planning teams.
- Works well under pressure, results-driven with the ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail and very well organised. Analytical skills, proficiency in manipulation of data, and ability to identify connections in data with solid Excel knowledge to identify and deliver actionable, pragmatic solutions.
- Uses own initiative to seek improvements.
- Looks to overcome internal issues by developing effective solutions.

- Use forecasting metrics to drive continuous improvement. Create and share action plans.
- Forecast accuracy improved YOY (statistical + enrichment), Bias.
- Forecast Value Add.
- Service to Customer.
- Lift and shift of best practices.
