Description

Interview process: There will be 1 face to face competency based interview at Burton Latimer on 10th October.

This is a 6 month Fixed term contract
Working pattern: Hybrid but you will need to flexible depending on team tasks and resources. Weetabix Wednesday is a non-negotiable where we all come into the office for business partnering and meetings.

The recipe!
The purpose of this role is to ensure that food safety systems are in place, effective and compliant to industry best practice / customer requirements. Support plant teams with the implementation of food safety programmes. Provide guidance and coaching to BU’s and external stakeholders on food safety.
You will manage and lead all aspects related to food safety across our product lines and facilities. This includes optimizing food safety systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and customer standards.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Developing, implementing, and maintaining the food safety management system.
•    Conducting regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
•    Collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of food safety.
•    Providing training and support to staff regarding food safety practices and protocols.
•    Maintaining documentation for food safety processes and procedures.

Non-negotiables
•    Level 4 HACCP trained and proven experience in food safety management within the food manufacturing sector
•    Level 3 Food Safety trained
•    Technical and quality background
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
•    PC skills (word, excel and power point are essential
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse teams.
•    Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    A proactive approach to ensuring compliance and promoting food safety initiatives.
