Job Opportunity: Raw Materials Technologist (Food Manufacturing)

We are recruiting for a Raw Materials Technologist on behalf of our client, a leading food manufacturing business. This is a full-time, on-site position with working hours from Tuesday to Saturday, offering a competitive salary of approximately £30,000 DOE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and quality control of raw materials entering the facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
• Lead and support a team of 3 Goods In Quality Assurance (QA) staff, providing guidance and hands-on support on the shop floor.
• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to quality specifications.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure the smooth flow of raw materials into the manufacturing process.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of raw materials, reporting on quality performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in raw materials management or supply chain within the UK food manufacturing industry is essential.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing or mentoring a small team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal production teams.
• Highly organised, with a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail.
• Hybrid working is not available, so candidates must be prepared to work on-site five days a week.
