The Company and Role.

This is a fantastic junior / graduate food opportunity working for large multi-sites progressive food business who produce a delicious range of own label and branded food products. Working within a large R&D team, the successful candidate will need to be a real “foodie” with a passion for creative innovative and consumer trend-based product development. This opportunity is a great environment to hone your skills and practical knowledge to translate big ideas into fantastic flavourful products as the business looks to expand their product portfolio.

People Profile.

• Prior experience working within a creative development environment
• Knowledge/experience of food manufacturing processes 
• Food Science/Technology or related degree, or alternatively a HNC Food Science/Technology, BTEC Food Science, alternatively a culinary/chef-based qualifications will also be considered
• A real “foodie” with passion/flair for creative innovative trend-based product development
• Ambitious self-starter, able to manage their own projects independently
• An ability to work well within a broader R&D team 
• Solution oriented 

Key Accountabilities.

• Deliver the R&D programme for NPD/EPD/ESG for the related product area.
• Lead scale-up development via pilot plant & factory trials 
• Work independently to develop new ideas and shape projects
• Monitor current trends in cuisines, ingredients, and consumer trends
• Understand the ingredient, product functionality and work with suppliers to develop exciting new opportunities
• Progress all aspects of document control and process relating to projects
• To work with the packaging, sensory and marketing teams to set benchmarks and appropriate product assessments
