Reed Food & FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a top employer, based in Abeerdeen to join the business on a permanent basis. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for packing red meat for sale and consumption in accordance with client specification/orders and company SOP's

Meat Production Operative

£11.44 per hour

Full time on site

Responsibilities:

• Ability to identify individual vacuum-packed cuts of meat and placing them in to specified containers/boxes.
• Recognition of different cuts of meats that legally must be weighed and labelled correctly.
• Placing trays/boxes on correct pallets to customer specification.
• Ability to use forklift, pallet truck and pallet scales as required.
• Recognising and placing selected cuts of meat into customer specified bags at variable line speeds.
• Remove out of specification product, and store as required.
• Straightening prepack bags that are already on production line.
• Sealing blue plastic bags on freezer line, putting correct flanks into dolavs for relevant customers, ensuring they are to required specification.
• Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets.
• Ensuring product is of highest standard, reporting any issues to the packing supervisor immediately.
• Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.

Person Specification:

• Passion for food at forefront of day-to-day performance
• Previous experience working in a high volume processing factory
• Able to work under in chilled environment
