The Company/The Role

They’re a high risk, produce manufacturer.

These guys pride themselves on providing the best quality product while being agile and flexible for their B2B customers.

They’re small. This isn’t the role for someone who wants to be a tiny cog in a huge machine. You’ll have lots of scope to really make a difference.

They’re owned by a larger group, so while you get the flexibility and autonomy of a small, family run site, you have the support and backing of the larger group. You’ll meet weekly with the larger groups Group Technical Director, and the MD is super hands on, so he’s there to support too.

The Technical team is tiny (its you), so you have to be okay with doing a bit of everything. There’s someone to help with admin though – so you’re not totally a one-man band.

The cultural fit is important, like I said they’re small. So getting on with the people you work with is imperative. That shouldn’t be hard, they’re lovely!

You

If you’re looking to step up from Quality Manager to Technical Manager, this would be a great next step. It will be hard, but you’ll learn LOADS.

If you’ve been a Technical Manager working with retailers and are looking for something that’s still pacey, but you don’t have to deal with audits every 4 days and answer to every man and his dog, it might be a good next step for you too.

It’s high-risk products, so having experience with that ideal.
