Job Title - Technical Manager
Location - Herefordshire
We are working in partnership with a leading food and drink manufacturing company, looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical function at their site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and be a key player within the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Take full ownership of the technical function on-site, driving operational excellence.
-Ensure all certifications and accreditations are maintained by leading and preparing for external audits and customer visits.
-Maintain and continually develop the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet internal and external standards.
-Manage, mentor, and develop the technical team, ensuring continuous professional growth and skill enhancement.
-Oversee the site's compliance with BRC standards and those of major retailers.
-Ensure compliance with HACCP principles and drive the highest standards of food safety and -quality across the business.
Key Requirements:
-Proven experience in a similar role within the food industry, ideally within the chilled product sector.
-Previous and demonstrable experience leading and managing your own technical team.
-Extensive knowledge of BRC standards and retailer specifications.
-Strong understanding and experience with HACCP.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external stakeholders.
