Quality Assurance Manager / Food Manufacturing/ Kent

Salary: Up to £45,000 (based on experience, skills, and qualifications)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with a 1-hour unpaid break)


Our client is a leading name in the food production industry, specialising in fresh, ready-to-eat products. We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Quality Assurance Manager to lead their QA team, ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety, integrity, and quality to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Leadership
  • Proactively manage and lead the QA team, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and team development.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the team and other departments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and effective teamwork.


Product Quality & Safety
  • Ensure all products meet food safety, legal, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Take ownership of quality issues, driving resolution and decision-making.
  • Shift from a QC to a QA culture within the factory.
  • Manage product assessments, internal audits, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints, manage corrective actions, and ensure factory compliance.


Who We're Looking For:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food-related technical or quality management role.
  • Experience in a high-care, ready-to-eat environment, preferably with fresh produce.
  • Qualifications in HACCP, Auditing, and Food Safety are advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
