Process Technologist for a long-established, trusted food supplier based in Merseyside.  The successful candidate will own and drive the changeover between new and old packaging formats, gaining a full in depth understanding of current factory lines and processes.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

• Being the first point of contact for anything relating to packaging processes 
• Ownership of sample creation within the factory for customer submissions and trials
• Management of all packaging suppliers in the group including conducting supplier assurance tasks in line with BRC and customer needs
• Arranging and planning trials 
• Organising and preparing packaging samples and presentations for customer meetings
• Coordination of all factory specifications
• Artwork/Cutter guide accountability and assisting with packaging spec sign off

Essential / Desirable skills include:

• Previous experience working within a factory facing quality or technical position within food manufacturing
• Ideally, experience of packaging 
• Ability to confidently run trials
• Organised and able to work with autonomy

The working hours for the role are 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is up to £30k per annum plus benefits package.
