Our client, a growing and dynamic business, are searching for a Pricing Specialist to join them in a new role, supporting the Supply Chain and Sales function.  

Job Role
The Pricing Specialists will have the ability and responsibility to identify and transfer customer and product value into a product and pricing strategy. As the successful candidate you will report into the Pricing Manager and be responsible for continued fast paced growth by ensuring sales teams can quote customer swiftly and efficiently. 

Responsibilities 
•    In close collaboration with the Sales and the Procurement teams, responsible for pricing topics 
within the organisation
•    Develop and continually optimise a pricing process to enhance profitability and competitive positioning 
•    Manage pricing across the agreed structure (product/customer/geography/channel/industry) that highlights key metrics that can be used to make informed decisions
•    Build a mechanism that allows for valorisation of differentiated versus non-differentiated product within various channels or markets
•    Build a mechanism (agile/robust) for discounts based on long value creation
•    Additionally develop analytical tools to support, remediate and examine price elasticity
•    Implement agile pricing mechanisms/models
•    Training and integration of pricing process and tools with the rest of the business 
•    Build a robust pricing administration mechanism, that facilitates our high velocity modus operandi
•    Support negotiations for large contracts
•    Conduct market and competitor analysis, gather intelligence and utilise in pricing tactics
•    Extract pertinent insights from the data to facilitate better decisions, supporting the sales and 
•    procurement teams
•    Manage pricing policy
•    Create reports to facilitate better decision making for sales, supply chain and leadership 
teams

Personal Profile
•    Working in a technical / science-based company a distinct advantage
•    2+ years’ experience in a similar or suitably adjacent roles
•    Good business sense, with genuine interest and natural curiosity for food/chemical/ dietary supplements industries
•    Experience with value-based pricing and pricing techniques, preferred 
•    Be prepared to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
•    Strong analytical skills (expert knowledge of MS Excel, BI, POWER BI, SQL or other similar tools)
•    Strong technical ability, experience in B2B Food ingredient space a distinct advantage 
•    Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
•    Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
•    Strong communicator who can clearly present her/his ideas across different levels of the 
business
