Job Title: Technical Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Slough, UK
Salary: Circa £65,000 DOE

We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Manager for our client, a rapidly growing business in the chilled food manufacturing sector, based out of a brand-new facility in Slough. This is a dynamic, hands-on role, ideal for a skilled technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for high-quality food production.

About the Role:
As the Technical Manager, you will be integral to ensuring that our client’s products consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You'll be working closely with production teams on the factory floor, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of customers. Your role will be essential to supporting the company’s expansion, ensuring the quality and technical integrity of their chilled food products across a variety of channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee quality and food safety standards throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products.
• Conduct regular audits and implement continuous improvements in line with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with production teams to maintain and improve technical standards, ensuring processes align with BRC and other industry certifications.
• Liaise directly with customers on technical and quality matters, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and enhance product quality.
• Manage and develop the technical team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in food safety.  

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A strong technical background in chilled food manufacturing within the UK, with hands-on experience in a factory environment.
• In-depth knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP principles, and UK food safety regulations.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across departments and with customers.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-growing, ever-changing environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
