Butchery Team Leader

Shift pattern: 06:30 – 15:30

To effectively and efficiently lead activities carried out within a specified area in the Butchery department. Team of 100 in that area (packing room, butchers, orders).

• Working directly for the Team Leaders, the key responsibilities are to maximise yield recovery and minimise rework. Ensure product and personal hygiene standards are maintained to the expected standards within their specified area. Focus on key performance indicators (KPI’s) and work towards achieving and surpassing agreed targets. Identify poor standards of cutting and reduce waste where possible

• Lead, encourage and motivate colleagues within the team Ensure colleagues are briefed daily with the information that they require Ensure colleagues are rotated effectively. Identify any further training needs and report them to the Butchery Team Leader Comply with the Company H&S Policy and procedures at all times. Identify training requirements where necessary. Ensure accidents, damage and near misses are reported.

• Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards.

• Wherever possible identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement. Ensure customer specifications and quality standards are achieved and maintained
