The Ideal Candidate

• Will have a Scientific or Technical background such as Food Science, Engineering, Packaging Science, Chemistry, or a similar technical related field.
• Will have significant experience gained in leadership roles, overseeing innovation teams and delivering innovative R&D solutions to the market.
• Although bakery experience would be ideal, other similar complex food manufacturing categories covering ingredients and process technologies and their applications would be considered.
• Will have a positive, growth mindset combined with a customer focused approach.
• Will be a credible and confident communicator with excellent influencing and interpersonal skills who can flex their style as appropriate
• Will be capable of both strategic thinking and tactical execution.

The Role

• The role is a leadership role within the senior leadership team. You will play a pivotal role in managing your team to execute innovation strategy development and initiatives for the UK market.
• You will manage a dynamic Innovations team to execute innovation projects, collaborating with key stakeholders, and shaping that innovation strategy. This role will drive the reinvention of the product portfolio through the prioritisation and successful deployment of differentiated and highly relevant offerings to the market, propelling the company forward in a rapidly evolving landscape.
• This role will lead the development and management of the Innovation process and will work together with other functions to commercialise the use of new and leading-edge innovation approaches and models to drive business growth.
• This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical knowhow and tactical execution to create and implement strategies to define and execute a portfolio of complex projects. You will work with global teams to develop and leverage their programs to look at new perspectives to solve existing and new solutions for the UK market.
• The role will require a high drive for results, exceptional project management skills, an entrepreneurial growth mindset and an ability to create strong networks and relationships.
