Job Title: New Product Development Manager for Monoluxury Sdn Bhd Malaysia
RTE Products; Salad Bags & Kits, Vegetables, Fruits, Sauces, Condiments
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and innovative NPD Manager to join our dynamic team in Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and launching new food products that excite and delight our customers (retailers, airlines, food chains). You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Technical and Operations, to bring your product ideas to life. The company is already a Market Leader in supplying retailers with ready to eat products across Malaysia and Singapore with ambitions to grow further in the SE Asia Region.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ideation: Generate innovative food product concepts that align with market trends, consumer preferences, and company objectives.
Product Development: Conduct thorough market research and consumer insights to identify opportunities for new product development.
Formulation Development: Develop and refine product formulations, including ingredient selection, recipe development, and process optimization.
Sensory Evaluation: Conduct sensory evaluations to assess product attributes such as taste, texture, and aroma.
Packaging Development: Collaborate with packaging designers to create visually appealing and functional packaging.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all product development activities comply with relevant food safety, labelling, and regulatory requirements.
Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses to optimize product profitability.
Product Launch: Oversee the successful launch of new products, including coordinating with marketing, sales, and operations teams.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in related new product development within the food industry. Strong understanding of food science principles, including ingredient functionality, processing techniques, and shelf-life extension. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Creative thinking and innovation skills. Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in food safety and quality assurance standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with sensory evaluation techniques.

Location
The role is based in Malaysia and the company is setting up a new high care facility in the vibrant city of Johor Bahru in Malaysia, which is very near the border with Singapore. In the period whilst the new facility is being constructed there will also be requirement to work at the Highlands farming/factory facilities which is situated 48 kms from Kuala Lumpur. Accommodation and car are provided with the role.
