The role of the NPD / Presentation Chef is to support Group Product Sales Support Manager and the account management team to increase and develop our product ranges delivered to the customer through product presentations, menu creation, market insights and customer product reviews. The position works closely with the account management team and the site teams while doing this. They will also be responsible for presenting the business in the external community, at corporate events and with external public stakeholders.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Support account managers on the key prioritised accounts on gap analysis and opportunities identified within the market to promote our existing range or created new products. Work in partnership with the account managers and site teams to manage the whole concept of a new product/range from discovery to launch. Provide NPD support to sites to develop product opportunities for Browns Food Group Support and in some cases lead the delivery of excellent customer experience at identified external events and promotions where we showcase the Browns Food Group products Supports delivery of new product projects effectively to make sure they are delivered on time, and are commercially viable for the business Create inspiring food presentations for stakeholders within BFG and smaller customer businesses Be an internal advocate for the customer and consumer. Maintain an awareness of consumer and category trends. Utilise internal and external resources to identify emerging consumer needs and opportunities. Assist in the development of category product concepts based on consumer and market insights. Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop new product launch strategy and communicate to business stakeholders Support design with the preparation of food for photography and videos and with packaging design. Manage recipes related to new products developed to allow translation to the factory Work with account managers to produce samples for customers Liaise with and get involved with external organisations e.g., schools and colleges to promote the positive image of BFG as a destination employer. Complete all relevant NPD and project documentation as required Perform other duties which are deemed to be an integral part of the position Person Specification

5+ years of working in food preparation 3 + years product development experience preferred Ability to work with cross-functional teams Comprehensive understanding of food manufacturing Location: Browns Manufacturing Ltd (DG4 6RB) with multi-site travel (Irvine, Prestwick, North Berwick, Biggar).

 

Hours of work: 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday

 

Package: Competitive dependent on experience. Company van and fuel card.
