We are seeking a dedicated Production Manager to oversee all operations within our client's factory. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity of the factory environment. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing production planning to match sales forecasts, and ensuring all health, safety, and quality standards are met.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage health and safety issues across the site, promoting a safe working environment through effective communication, regular safety inspections, and ensuring the availability of personal protective equipment.
• Ensure all food safety and quality standards are achieved and properly documented.
• Oversee shift managers to ensure optimal control of production resources (people, machines, materials, equipment) to deliver the agreed production plan.
• Drive continuous improvement activities by monitoring performance, measuring KPIs, and engaging the team.
• Ensure products meet the company's quality standards through effective training and communication.
• Oversee routine and deep cleaning processes to maintain required hygiene standards.
• Liaise effectively with the engineering department to ensure timely preventative and immediate maintenance.
• Manage the factory warehouse operations to support goods receipt and dispatch management effectively.
• Facilitate good communication between shifts and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Proven ability to lead and work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Good understanding of cleaning practices, chemical handling, and waste disposal.
• In-depth knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
• Proactive, flexible approach with a keen eye for detail.
• Previous management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Desirable: Knowledge of food manufacturing and operation of food processing equipment.
