Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about food safety? We are recruiting a Technical Assistant position where you will play a vital role in ensuring quality and compliance within this grower packer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and implement food safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Accurately document inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Manage documentation and record-keeping as part of the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Oversee the raw material and supplier approval system.
- Maintain and update raw material specifications, supplier certifications, and Supplier Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs).
- Investigate major supplier raw material non-compliance, escalating serious concerns when necessary.
- Assist with customer audits and ensure a seamless audit process.
About You:
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to address issues clearly and calmly.
- Attention to detail with good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and numeracy skills.
- You must have full right to work in the UK
