Purpose
The role holder is responsible for supporting health, safety and environment agenda in plants and ensuring adherence to relevant statutory norms and internal policies. Upholding highest hygiene standard and 100% compliance on pest control.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Support in ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Inspect and track EHS related compliances across plant and escalate in case of deviation from defined plans, guidelines, and policies. Track changes in EHS related statutes and clearances.
- Provide timely and accurate data with stakeholders and ensure smooth execution of internal and external EHS audits.
- Responsible for implementation of EHS initiatives (safety campaigns, well-being and fitness sessions, health camps etc.) to promote awareness and culture of safety. Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to safety & health.
- Ensure periodic on-ground monitoring of safety infrastructure (fire exits, fire alarms, first-aid kits, safety posters, warning signs etc.) as well as timely delivery of safety trainings and drills (fire mock drills, first aid training, PPE training etc.) as per the applicable statute and norms.
- Prepare EHS training calendar and support in organising and delivering training as per the defined calendar.
- Assist in investigation of accidents, incidents, compliance deviations and enforcement actions; Ensure proper reporting for all injuries and near misses.
- Taking the lead in co-ordination with local authorities when/where required, reporting with same required.
- Ensure that staff (internal & external) is compliant with basic levels of personal hygiene and wears the necessary safety equipment during the production process as well as adhere to the policies as per the facility requirements.
Hygiene
- Responsible for promoting the highest standard of hygiene within the premises and educating workers and managers on how to maintain cleanliness in the workplaces.
- Managing Hygiene partner in execution of contractual agreements; Performing internal audits across all premises.
- Managing Pest Control partner in execution of contractual agreements; Performing internal audits across all premises. Leading in Fumigations and making sure for safe and organised process.
- Conducting Risk Assessments with Production and Warehouse Managers; developing Action Plan to mitigate the risks.
