About the Specification Technologist job
The purpose of your role will be to complete specifications on web-based retail specification systems including all supporting documentation.
Key tasks
- Prepare and maintain internal specifications including all supporting documentation whilst maintaining and updating supplier assurance systems as required.
- Check artwork to final copy ensuring packaging information is correct and legal for new and existing product development.
- Update / maintain hard copy and computer-based files.
- Request ingredient and packaging specifications, ensuring they are correct and available when required.
About You
- Educated to a degree level within a food related discipline is desirable.
- Food industry technical experience with knowledge of writing product specifications using retailer systems.
- Food legislation understanding.

The Specifications Technologist job (ref:8823) is based in Essex and is paying £30,000 - £35,000.
The role is hybrid and requires 2-3 days per week in the office. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
The site is near Colchester, Essex. Nearby towns include Sudbury, Tiptree, Halstead, Braintree, Haverhill, Manningtree, Hadleigh, (Essex & Suffolk).
