Role

The Site General Manager is a senior leadership role within the organisation and has a wide range of responsibilities.

• Embedding the company vision and culture within the site.
• Lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team of employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Identify and cultivate future leaders within the team and implement succession planning strategies.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise production processes, minimise waste, and improve overall efficiency.
• Create a high performance culture whilst maintaining an environment where individuals are valued and respected.
• Develop and manage the site's operating budget, ensuring cost control measures and productivity targets are met.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Defining the capital agenda requirements for the medium and long term growth plans of the business.
• Support the wider business in delivering improvement projects to achieve overall financial and performance goals.

Person

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, someone who has experience of operations management within the food industry and has the gravitas to operate in a senior role within a dynamic business. They will be confident, assertive, a team player and someone with excellent numerical and verbal skills. Extensive experience in FMCG is essential.
