If you are ready to play a key role in ensuring ingredient quality and supplier excellence within a fast-paced food industry environment - this is a great role for you!
As a Raw Materials Technologist, you'll be a key role in the technical operations, supporting both the supply chain and production teams.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards across raw material compliance, supplier risk assessments, and internal documentation, all while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor the quality, safety, and compliance of the raw materials within the supply chain.
Conduct supplier risk assessments and support with managing approvals to ensure all suppliers meet technical and safety standards.
Maintain and update supplier approval systems and factory documentation to ensure all technical records are audit-ready.
Collaborate with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure raw materials align with new project requirements and company standards.
Ensure all technical paperwork related to raw materials is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible for internal teams.
Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and compliance of raw material systems.
What you'll need!
Previous experience in raw materials/supplier assurance and technical roles within the food industry.
Strong understanding of supplier risk assessments, food safety protocols, and quality management systems.
A methodical approach to maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
Ability to collaborate with suppliers, technical teams, and NPD colleagues effectively.
A proactive mindset for identifying and resolving quality or supplier issues.
