Job Details
As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of expanding our client's presence in the Northern European market, including the UK. Your mission will be to cultivate relationships with key accounts in the food manufacturing and foodservice sectors, identify new market opportunities, and implement strategies to grow revenue, market share, and profitability.
Based in the Rotterdam office, you’ll have plenty of chances to work closely with a great team, meet exciting clients, and make a real impact. It’s all about driving sales, creating partnerships, and helping them take things to the next level!
Key Accountabilities
Develop and manage key accounts in the food sector, focusing on fostering long-term, collaborative partnerships with buyers, category managers, product developers, and marketers.
Design and execute sales plans, setting clear priorities per market and customer to achieve measurable results.
Identify trends, analyse market dynamics, and proactively create actionable plans to seize new opportunities.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and conditions, formalizing agreements, and contracts.
Growing sales in B2B and foodservice channels, smashing targets, and celebrating wins.
Balancing 80% business development with 20% account management – with the aim of broadening sales channels and increasing volume in the B2B and foodservice markets.
Personal Profile
Someone who’s already smashing it in sales or account management, ideally in the food world or something similar.
A natural communicator who can build trust and rapport with ease.
Super organized, analytical, and ready to juggle multiple projects like a pro.
Proficiency in English and at least one other European language is preferred.
A team player who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
