Reed Food & FMCG are currently representing a leading food manufacturing company specialising in flavourings and seasonings. We are seeking a motivated and energetic NPD Raw Material Coordinator, focusing on optimising the use of raw materials in new product development.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Proactively source new and provenance ingredients for product development.
• Represent the NPD team in raw material meetings and monitor the status of existing materials, working closely with the supply chain.
• Solve problems related to raw materials alongside the Technical and Supply Chain teams.
• Keep the NPD team informed of any changes in raw material status.
• Evaluate and approve replacement raw materials in seasoning applications.
• Work with the Technical team to streamline and manage the approval process for new raw materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
• Proactive initiative and a self-starter attitude.
• Strong technical acumen with a thorough understanding of safety and legal standards in food production.
• Experience in dealing with ingredient suppliers and managing product quality and availability.
• A keen interest in the food industry, staying updated on trends and innovations.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of cost management, scalability, and production feasibility.
• Solution-oriented mindset with tenacity and resilience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
