Duties and Responsibilities
- Hold the production team and quality champions responsible for Daily and Monthly GMP and ensure nonconformances are closed off.
- Review line paperwork weekly to ensure requisite checks are being done including start up, metal and knife, hourly, fail safe, end of shift etc. checks are done.
- Review ATP and Allergen swab results on the portal. Ensure swabs adhere to plan. Carry out allergen validation on a quarterly basis.
- Send off water samples, shelf life samples for testing on a monthly basis, nutrition testing once a year and maintain up to date records; flag any concerns to the COO.
- Ensure all suppliers are aware of GF status and 6 monthly confirmations are received from them.
- Ensure export related paperwork including ehcs and M&S traces are accurately completed, submitted, and signed off by COO for every outgoing shipment, if applicable.
- Ensure customer complaints are responded to, tracked and root cause analysis conducted and trending available on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for ensuring Supplier Management Program adherence starting with thorough supplier checks, chain of custody, manufacturing controls and new supplier onboarding. Ensure up to date chain of custody is available for all raw materials on an on-going basis.
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers and establish a system where they promptly communicate any changes in ingredient manufacturing or distribution.
- Ensure updated raw material and packaging specifications are available and updated at least every two years. Ensure up to date specifications are available at Goods in for reference.
- Update raw material, allergen, integrity and segregation risk assessments at a minimum on a monthly or as needed. Ensure the updated version is saved on the QMS and available to the Goods In team for reference.
- Ensure concessions are granted for expired raw materials post micro testing. Maintain an ongoing log of concessions.
- Work with the Supply chain to report quality complaints to the supplier and ensure quarantine materials are returned, discarded or donated post credit from suppliers.
- Fill out customer new line forms to reflect accurate product details.
- Update systems such as Qadex, Erudus, RFA, Valpak etc as needed to ensure customers have accurate information about our products and packaging.
- Ensure finished product specifications for all customers are up to date on relevant specification systems and any change in supplier is reflected immediately.
- Ensure Doughlicious product specifications are updated, approved and latest versions saved on the drive in the appropriate folder.
- Support NPD on new product launches by reviewing new ingredient specifications, allergen control and creating the final product specification.
- Update the HACCP in line with any process or infrastructure changes. Ensure a 6 monthly review meeting with the HACCP team.
