Protea Recruitment is working with a leading food retail client in the UAE to find a Head of Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project leader to take full ownership of construction, fit-out, and MEP projects within the retail and food manufacturing sectors

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead and manage a team of Project Managers and support staff.
• Develop and execute project strategies, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, tendering, and contractor negotiations.
• Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders, government authorities, and landlords to secure approvals and certifications.
• Select and manage suppliers/vendors for food processing equipment, refrigeration, chillers, freezers, and shelving.
• Align MEP requirements and space planning with operational needs in collaboration with design teams.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive change management initiatives with senior leadership approval.
• Manage client-side project delivery, with a focus on supermarket refrigeration and food processing infrastructure.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification desirable.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in a similar leadership role.
• Strong background in construction, retail fit-outs, and MEP projects.
• Experience managing food processing and refrigeration infrastructure is essential.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
