Factory Manager – Shropshire

Salary: Up to c.£60,000 (DOE)

Looking for your next move in Production or Operations management? We’re working with an established, growing food manufacturer, supplying chilled and frozen products to some of the UK’s biggest retailers.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Director, you’ll play a key role in driving performance and delivering improvements across the site. Leading a team of five direct reports, with an overall headcount of around 120, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading from the front, spending time on the shop floor to develop and motivate your team while supporting the Site Director in delivering strategy.
• Empowering teams and fostering a high-performance culture where people take ownership and drive continuous improvement.
• Driving efficiencies by working cross-functionally to achieve KPIs, improve processes, and ensure top-quality food production.
• Collaborating with the CI Manager to promote a proactive, solutions-focused environment.
• Championing safety and ensuring all operations align with best practices and HSE legislation.

About You

This role would suit a Production Manager ready to step up or an Operations Manager looking for a fresh challenge in a business that is growing and evolving. You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, ideally in chilled, high-care, or bakery.
• A hands-on approach, leading from the front while also engaging with senior stakeholders to drive improvements.
• A proactive mindset, always looking for opportunities to enhance processes, boost efficiencies, and improve performance.
• Strong people leadership skills, coaching and developing teams to increase engagement and build a robust succession pipeline.
